Yea, if your information was stored on your own hard drive then think about it.

Everyone would have 999 ectos, and a batillion black dyes, over max sword dmg and shield would be stronger than your 15k armor

Ok, from the screenie, they are referring to it as a winter update, which means it will start on winter solstice.
